Word to Mother can’t afford to be broke so he’s standing up and saying it bluntly: “Fuck You. Pay Me.” are a series of bats that can be seen in his new show, “Can’t Afford to be Broke” at White Walls gallery opening Saturday May 12, 2012. Along with the bats are dollar bills with the notorious MOTHER screen printed on top, other hand painted MOTHER items, a series of wood assemblage paintings, large scale works, and small pieces.
Most of us have or are in a place where we can’t afford to be losing money and wasting time. “Can’t Afford to be Broke” will highlight those moments of hustling hard, overcoming and over achieving, and saying to the man, “no, fuck you, pay me, obey me, and do it on the daily.”
