Someone Get Me Some Paint

Like Right Now. I don’t think I have ever seen two gallery openings that have made me want to get up and paint as much at these two (both at home and… outside). Check them out, I after the (double!) break.

Miniature Worlds: Makes Me Want To Be A Kid Again

Miniature worlds by Takanori Aiba

Incredible miniatures by Takanori AibaI am not going to sit here.. on this extremely hot and sticky leather couch in sunny Los Angeles (!) and say I wasn’t addicted to model building and painting as a kid. I was, probably more than healthy for a young boy at that age. In fact I will go as for to admit I was also completely addicted to miniatures – some of you will get that reference (most probably not).  Well played Takanori.. makeing miniatures into f***ing fantastic art.. well played. Miniatures by illustrator/architect Takanori Aiba. More after the break (found on BOOOOOM)

More Sigur Ros

So I blogged about a music video not too long ago, I was deciding whether it was the best music video ever.. or the worst. I decided it is probably leaning more towards the positive and enlightened than the negative. In retrospect I don’t know why I ever judged it.

Well I think my perception of the group Sigur Ros just hit an all time high when I discovered this jem. It was one of those moments when you know a song.. you have heard parts of it for years but never gotten a chance to hear the full thing or who created it – until now. Enjoy my friends. Enjoy

Know Hope Takes a Stand

I have to say I love this Know Hope piece. I have been across the pond (to the EU) – lived there for 5 months (Spain if you forgot), I have been to China, lived with a Taiwanese native through part of high school, and even had a short romance with a girl from (and still in) Russia who I met in Prague. I can tell you that people .. are people and that we are all very very similar. No I am not going to pretend to be the most worldly of travelers, but I like to think I have and can learn from what I experience. That being said I agree wholeheartedly – the concept of ‘us’ and ‘them’ is almost out-dated.
