OKAY. I know.
We I post about Morley a lot. But I want to be honest with you guys and I just want to clarify, I don’t think he is perfect or even really that great. In fact.. he isn’t really that much of an artists- just a good writer. Well, a good one-line writer… who happens to have the god damn courage to get up and say something. That being said… I freaking love this piece.
Morley quote after the break.
I find this story touching on 2 counts. 1, I have had my share of time in the service industry. 2, I physically saw this YESTERDAY(!!) as I drove by Fairfax and Melrose (I believe).
An oldie but a goodie. Interestingly enough, since I made this poster, my sister- who was the real inspiration for the sentiment quit her waitress job. On her last day she stood up on top of a table and triumphantly announced that after more than a decade of waiting tables, she was quitting- never to serve another plate of food again. She followed this up by smashing a pie into her face- which I think was something she had always fantasized about doing. Needless to say, it was pretty epic.
Morley has a new show in London!
+5 points for Morley – Using a Frightened Rabbit song. A band I was sure only I was aware of.
Received a text message from a friend today, his name is Aaron and deserves credit for his smart thinking and fast actions. Thanks Aaron.
I’d like to point out the sign above, well placed sir. Well placed.
Some music after the break.
